THE Pays Basque is a region located on the border between France and Spain, which offers a rich cultural and natural heritage.
Photographs from this region often focus on the beautiful coastal landscapes, raging ocean waves, local traditions such as Basque pelota festivals, religious celebrations, local cuisine and traditional festivals. Photographers can also capture the area's historic remains, such as medieval fortresses and stone churches. The bright colors and striking contrasts of light in the Basque Country provide an ideal setting for artistic photography.
